Julie Johnson is a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and Assistive Technology Specialist in St. Louis, MO. She has been teaching students in early intervention in the homes in birth to three programs, pre-schools for students with visual impairments and now as an itinerant teacher within the public school system. Julie is passionate about giving students with visual impairments the latest intervention in assistive and educational technology. She is specialized in integrating iPads, Refreshable Braille Displays and other low vision magnification software into the educational programming of students with visual impairments. In the last six years, she has become passionate about increasing equity for students with disabilities in at resilient school districts.
